The United Arab Emirates has announced that it will host the Winter Olympics 2030 in Dubai, using artificial snow and ice to create a winter wonderland in the desert.

The Emirates also claimed that they would use renewable energy and recycled water to produce the artificial snow and ice, and that they would ensure the safety and comfort of the athletes and spectators in the hot climate.
The UAE’s bid to host the Winter Olympics 2030 was approved by the International Olympic Committee (IOC), which praised the UAE for its “innovation and ambition”. The IOC declared that the UAE’s bid was in line with the Olympic Agenda 2020, which aims to make the Olympics more sustainable, inclusive, and diverse.
The committee also noted that the country’s bid would inspire new generations of athletes and fans in the Middle East and beyond, and that it would promote peace and cooperation in the region.
