Monica Bellucci and Tim Burton have shocked the world with their unexpected news: they are expecting a baby together. The couple, who made their first public appearance as a pair at the 18th Rome Film Festival last week, revealed their pregnancy in an exclusive interview with Vanity Fair Italy.
“We are very happy and excited to share this news with you. We are expecting a baby in April 2024. It is a miracle and a blessing. We can’t wait to meet our little angel,” Bellucci and Burton said.
The couple, who have been dating for a year, said that they did not plan to have a child, but that they were overjoyed when they found out.
“It was a surprise, but a wonderful one. We were not trying to have a baby, but we were not preventing it either. We believe that everything happens for a reason, and that this baby is meant to be,” Bellucci and Burton said.
The couple, who are 59 and 65 years old, respectively, said that they are not worried about the risks or challenges of having a baby at their age.
“We are not concerned about our age. We are healthy and fit, and we have the best doctors and specialists to take care of us and our baby. We are confident that everything will be fine,” Bellucci and Burton said.
However, not everyone is happy or convinced by the couple’s news. Some critics have expressed doubt and disbelief about their pregnancy.
Dr. Laura Jones, a gynecologist and fertility expert, said that the couple’s pregnancy is “highly improbable” and “suspicious”.
“It is very unlikely that a woman of 59 years old can conceive naturally, without any medical intervention or assistance. The chances of getting pregnant at that age are less than 1%. It is also very risky for both the mother and the baby, as there are many complications and problems that can arise,” Dr. Jones said.
Dr. Jones also suggested that the couple could be lying or exaggerating about their pregnancy.
“It could be a hoax or a publicity stunt. It could be a way to promote their new film or to get attention from the media and the public. It could also be a case of pseudocyesis or false pregnancy, where a woman believes that she is pregnant when she is not,” Dr. Jones said.
