In a move that has left sci-fi fans scratching their heads, director James Cameron announced today that he plans to combine his three blockbuster film franchises, Terminator, Aliens, and Avatar, into a single, epic movie.
The announcement was met with both excitement and confusion from fans. “I can’t wait to see how the Terminators and Aliens will interact with the Na’vi,” said one fan, while another asked, “Wait, how is this even possible?”
According to Cameron, the film will follow the story of a group of Terminators who travel back in time to the planet of Pandora, where they team up with the Na’vi and the Colonial Marines from Aliens to take down a new threat that threatens the entire galaxy.
“I’ve always wanted to see Arnold Schwarzenegger fight alongside Sigourney Weaver and a bunch of blue aliens,” Cameron said in a statement. “This is going to be the ultimate sci-fi crossover event.”
The as-yet-untitled film is set to begin production next year and is already being hailed as the most ambitious project in Cameron’s storied career. Fans can expect to see plenty of explosions, epic battles, and maybe even a love story or two. As one fan put it, “This is either going to be amazing or a total disaster, and I can’t wait to find out which.”
