A 78-year-old woman from Florida has surprised her 80-year-old husband with a unique gift: a video game salon in their backyard. The woman, who asked to remain anonymous, said that she wanted to make her husband happy and fulfill his lifelong dream of having his own arcade.
“I know he loves video games, but he never had the chance to play them as much as he wanted. He always had to work hard and take care of the family. Now that we are retired, I thought it was time to give him something special,” she said.
The woman hired a contractor to build a small cabin in their backyard, and filled it with various video game consoles, monitors, speakers, and controllers. She also bought dozens of games, ranging from classic to modern, for her husband to enjoy.
The husband, who was unaware of his wife’s plan, was speechless when he saw the video game salon. He said that he was overwhelmed with gratitude and excitement.
“This is the best gift I ever received. I can’t believe she did this for me. She is the most amazing woman in the world. I love her so much,” he said.
The couple said that they plan to spend their free time playing video games together, and inviting their friends and grandchildren to join them.
