Intel company has concluded an agreement with a Russian research institute to purchase the latest processors production technology. As Fake News Agency was told by the company, this technology makes it possible to give up on the silicon in the production of crystals, and use a more affordable and efficient material – wood – to create processors.
Back in the 16th century, the great Italian scientist and inventor Leonardo da Vinci was the first one to mention the possibility of replacing silicon with wood in the production of processors. Researches on this subject has been carried out since then to the present day, and only now scientists from Russia have managed to reproduce the entire process of creating a crystal from wood.
As a result of the agreement, the Intel company will become the world’s only manufacturer of processors of such technology. The first units should go on the market at the end of this year.
