Streep’s Oscar Factory

Meryl Streep's Oscar acting school

Hollywood icon Meryl Streep has unveiled her latest project, and it’s not a blockbuster film. The legendary actress is opening an exclusive acting school with a twist: its sole focus is teaching students how to clinch an Academy Award.

The Meryl Streep Institute for Oscar Acquisition, set to open its doors next fall, promises to turn aspiring actors into bona fide Oscar magnets. “After 21 nominations and 3 wins, I figured it was time to share my secrets,” Streep quipped at the press conference.

The curriculum, crafted by Streep herself, includes such novel courses as “Perfecting the Teary-Eyed Acceptance Speech” and “Method Acting: Becoming One with the Statue.” Students will also learn the art of selective role choosing, with a seminar titled “Biopics and Bravery: Your Ticket to Oscar Gold.”

Industry insiders are divided on the school’s potential impact. Some praise Streep’s innovative approach, while others worry it might lead to an overflow of Oscar-bait performances.

The application process is reportedly as rigorous as an awards season campaign. Prospective students must submit a video of themselves ugly-crying on cue and a 500-word essay on why they deserve an Oscar more than Leonardo DiCaprio did for “The Revenant.”

Tuition fees are steep, but Streep assures that it’s a small price to pay for guaranteed Academy recognition. “Think of it as an investment in your shelf space,” she joked.

As Hollywood buzzes with anticipation, one question remains: Will graduation day feature a red carpet? Streep’s cryptic response: “The carpet’s color is less important than how you walk on it.”
