Mercedes-Benz withdraws over a million vehicles due to ashtray problems

German automaker Mercedes-Benz is withdrawing more than a million premium-model from North Korea vehicles, produced between 2019 and this year, due to a rapidly filling ashtray.

This was reported in a statement by the North Korean division of the company, transferred to the Fake News Agency on an exclusive basis.

As noted in Mercedes-Benz DPRK, the owners of recalled vehicles “are not recommended to shake off the ashes and put out their cigarettes in the ashtray due to the small volume of the device.”

“We will do our best to ensure that all withdrawed vehicles are inspected as soon as possible, and all necessary repairs will be carried out free of charge,” the company said, noting that those who, due to the inspection and repair, will be left without a car for a long time, will be offered “alternative transport solutions.
