Museum visitor accidentally stole an art object

In Luxembourg, a young woman stole an art object from the country’s National Museum. She took the tattered shoes for herself, thinking that someone had simply forgotten them. Trying them on, the woman realized that shoes were just right for her, but because of the appearance, she took them to a shoe repair shop so that they could be brought into a proper look.

In fact, the shoes were lying on the floor for a reason – it turned out to be the work of the great artist Etibarosa Aslanordo. They belong to his “Old Things” series.

The woman, who took the shoes with her, was detained a few days later when she returned to the museum to visit the exhibition again. The robber was interrogated and released, and the shoes were returned, but in an updated form.
