Musk will be closing Twitter on weekends

Twitter owner Elon Musk presented a new concept for the development of the service for the next three years. The first innovations will be introduced on the microblogging service from May 1 – users will not be able to post and read publications on Saturdays and Sundays.

“We see that many people, especially young ones, spend most of their time on social media. They almost do not communicate in real life with their peers, the Internet has replaced normal human communication for them. I see my mission in restoring the balance, so Twitter will not work on weekends,” Musk said.

As the entrepreneur noted, additional restrictions will be introduced for certain regions. For example, in the US, Twitter will be closed on Thanksgiving and Christmas, and on Easter in Europe. As Musk also told Fake News Agency, he contacted the owners of other social networks with an offer to join the “Spend the weekend in the real world” campaign.
