The head of the company also noted that this decision was not easy for them, it was preceded by long night discussions of the special council of Microsoft on product names.
As Satya Narayana Nadella stated – “the new name of the operating system will more accurately reflect its essence, which will favorably affect the work of users with this Microsoft product.” It was also noted that the name change will occur with the release of a new version of the operating system.
